Recently, The Community Development Department along with The Long Beach Housing Development Company hosted a Homeownership Preservation Workshop at the Long Beach Convention Center.  The event was jointly sponsored by the City of Long Beach, Supervisor Don Knabe, Congresswoman Laura Richardson, Congressman Dana Rohrabacher, the City of Hawthorne, the City of Carson, and the Los Angeles Neighborhood Housing Services (LANHS).

The Homeownership Preservation Fair was a free, comprehensive informational event in which homeowners were invited to attend to learn about foreclosure prevention and tips about homeownership preservation.  Counselors, lenders, and housing experts offered on-site assistance on the viable options regarding foreclosure prevention.
